BS3 01 – Goals

Here we are again, time hopping to January 2024 and in real time we’re already a month plus into our second cruising season (2023-2024), heading South. Where did 2023 go? It went by so fast, like a quick gasp of air, and then it was gone.

 

I feel so bad that I only managed to make 2 entries into the blogs last year. I sat down several times to write, but nothing I wrote was ever posted, and I cannot explain why. Even William was only able to get a few videos uploaded to YouTube from travel season 1 (Winter/Spring 2023), and at the end of the year somehow managed to coincide the releases of Season 1 videos with our real time travel during Season 2.

 

Yes, that means we’re a year behind on releasing video, however due to our large time lapses during 2023, we’ll make up that time rather quickly. Almost whiplash quick. I’ve just been editing a video that encompasses three months within 20 minutes, so stick around, it will all catch up!

 

While we admit we dropped the ball (and we are truly sorry), we cannot promise that it won’t ever happen again. We do however recognize the importance of posting regular uploads and have decided to attempt to commit to a biweekly YouTube video release schedule going forward. (Give or take a day or two.)

 

To accomplish this rigorous schedule William and I both have committed to editing videos on a regular basis as we are traveling and continuing to learn and share more and more. This is a stretch goal for us to be sure, especially as I myself have close to zero editing experience at this point. Somehow we are still confident that we can make it work though, so stick around, this promises to be good!

 

I’m also going to try to blog a bit more this year than last year, though maybe not as much as I had done in previous years when I made monthly entries. Bi-monthly is a good re-entry point I believe, especially with my newly added video editing duties, maybe even tri-monthly. It’s another stretch goal.

 

Of course I will still maintain the socials (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, etc.) and oversite of the website (I have more plans in store), so those are (as always) the first lines of contact for news and information on what is new and interesting with us. We have a lot of fun things on the horizon which we’re really excited about!
